The Ensign Glass Concealed Vent System

For Stained Glass Windows

Ensign Glass has a patented art glass vent system that helps eliminate condensation and heat related damage to stained glass.

System Features:

Our system can be screw applied to both new construction or retrofit existing window systems.

Through a series of hidden machined holes, the system allows for both heat and condensation to escape the air space between art glass and the exterior glass of the building.

With the art glass protected from the exterior elements and installed inside the building the glass can be admired without reflection.

This system can be installed from inside or outside the building, and does not conflict with millwork or stool trims.

Provides an inexpensive way to safely install stained glass to curtain wall or storefront.

We custom color match to other systems; painted or anodized.

We can ship stock lengths nationwide so our system can be cut and installed by others.

Patent Pending

We have installed the Ensign Glass system in a number of LDS temples. It is different from other designs with a unique venting system, and performs better than other designs.

“Scott’s Concealed Vent System was designed to number one, look good and number two to accomplish the ventilation behind the windows. As we searched all the manufactures there was really nothing that fit, especially in a retrofit environment. It was a great experience. In the meantime, the Ogden Temple has had no problem with their windows. There hasn’t been any condensation. It has performed well specific to what our goals were. We are really pleased with how it turned out.”

“We knew early on we needed someone familiar with the IGU glazing system as well as someone familiar with the art glass. Scott and Ensign Glass came highly recommended. Having Scott on the Ogden Temple was invaluable. He came up with a method to install the retrofitted art glass back into the window system. We were able to do it in a way where we didn’t have to remove the entire unit. In the end it saves The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints a significant amount of money.”

“Ensign Glass did miracles at the San Diego Temple retrofit with the schedule. It was looking like it was going to be four to six months out, however with Scott’s contacts and because he is the manufacturer of the frame, Scott was able to dictate the production cycle, avoiding another middle-man who has the potential to further delay project completion.”
