Art glass ventilation system — original project photograph
THE CONCEALED VENT SYSTEM

Room for air. Space for art.

A dedicated framing approach for stained glass and exterior glazing, designed for new construction and retrofit applications.

HOW IT WORKS

The space between makes the difference.

Hidden machined openings provide a ventilation path in the air space between art glass and exterior glazing. The system helps to mitigate condensation; performance depends on the project conditions and assembly. Contact Ensign for the appropriate details.

INSTALLATION & FINISHES

Fit the architecture.

The system can be screw-applied to new or existing window systems. Interior or exterior installation may be possible depending on the project. Painted or anodized finishes can be color-matched to adjacent systems. Stock lengths can be shipped nationwide for fabrication and installation by others.

Stained art glass window — patent-pending system
THE ENSIGN GLASS CONCEALED VENT SYSTEM

For stained glass windows.

Ensign Glass has a patent pending art glass vent system that helps eliminate condensation and heat related damage to stained glass. 1. Our system can be screw applied to both new construction or retrofit existing window systems. 2. Through a series of hidden machined holes, the system allows for both heat and condensation to escape the air space between art glass and the exterior glass of the building. 3. With the art glass protected from the exterior elements and installed inside the building the glass can be admired without reflection. 4. This system can be installed from inside or outside the building, and does not conflict with millwork or stool trims. 5. Provides an inexpensive way to safely install stained glass to curtain wall or storefront. 6. We custom color match to other systems; painted or anodized. 7. We can ship stock lengths nationwide so our system can be cut and installed by others.
